Well helloooo! Been a while!

Shit, been so freakin' busy that it's hard to find time to post an update here. So, what's going on...well, we just had a blast at the Rainbow Bar & Grill Parking Lot Party. Was great catching up with old friends and meetin' some new ones. And it don't stop there, the rock keeps on rollin' as we are getting ready to hit the road for our first tour of Summer 2024, starting in Dallas, TX and ending in Phoenix, AZ. 

Come hang with me, Danny, Sam, Chad and Kieran for some killer nights to remember. We'll be playin' the favorites and maybe throwing in some song changeups along the way, who knows. We're also getting excited, as always, for the M3 Festival on May 5th. I'm sure there's more shit I should tell ya about, but let's start there.

Howdy fuckin do, Pussycat friends!

Can you believe it’s already the end of May?! Seems like just yesterday we were stumbling off the boat for Monsters Of Rock (which was insane as F*#K!!!) and thinking about how long it would be before we played another Faster show. Now we’re days away from packing the bus and heading out for the next 11 weeks. We’ve been busy making and recording new music the past few months, so you can count on hearing some killer shit soon - and maybe you’ll even hear some of it while we’re out on tour with our longtime close friends the Tom Keifer Band and L.A. Guns - we can’t wait to see everyone.. well most everyone lol… We’ve got tons of new merch and shit, so come down to the shows, give Slim Tender a big hug, and buy some bad ass swag… And don’t forget to keep checking back here, because we’re confirming new headlining dates every day!

Hola amigos! We hope your fall was fabulously fantastic, and your gobble gobble was groovy and great! The holidays are full on upon us now, so we hope you get what ya really want for X-mass this year!

We've also got some big news, and are excited to announce a new addition to the Faster Pussycat lineup. Please help us welcome Ronnie Simmons to the pussy posse! A longtime friend and a family member of ours already, he will be playing guitar alongside Mr. Sam Bam Koltun - it’s going to be so bad ass! We are all stoked to have him aboard!

Ronnie's first gig with us will be January 1, 2022 at the Whisky A GoGo. This will mark our first show in Hollywood since before the pandemic shutdown, and we'll be keepin' a lookout for some of you good ol’ mofos we haven’t seen in a spell!

We'd also like to send a heartfelt thanks Critter for his time with us. You’ll be missed and always remain our brother. Good luck with your future endeavors, esè!

Lastly, the new shipment of “Nola" vinyl has arrived, and should be posting this week! New merch is also popping up on the site as we speak, so take a gander will ya!?

'Pussycat

What's up mofos! Hope you all had a goddamn awesome summer and were able to get out of the house prisons, most of us have been doing time in for the past year-and-a-half! It was great to see you all out at the shows, the run was killer and it was such a relief to get back to work. Much needed! We had some amazing crowds and really had a blast. Thanks for fueling the fire, amigos - we already have a badass tour planned for next summer, but more details about that later...

In other news, we are doing some fall cleaning in the shop and also adding some bitchin' new merch! This shit is hot, hot, hot! Keep checkin' back for the new swag so you don't miss out - X-mas is just around the fuckin’ corner, peeps! AND, big news… For everyone who didn't get a copy of the new “NOLA" vinyl single, rest assured, we have a new pressing on the way. So stay tuned!

And, of course, we have some more big surprises coming! So many things happening in the Faster Pussycat camp, you don't wanna miss any of it...

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and patience during the pandemic and quarantine. We were able to spend our down time in the studio working on some new material and are proud to announce the upcoming release of our new single “NOLA”. Available May 21st 2021 on Ltd. edition 7” vinyl as well as digital download. Pre-order is also available. More info to come.

The new single “NOLA” is a song inspired by the fabulous city of New Orleans and the impact hurricane Katrina had on it! Rough ideas had started back in 2006, but the song just never got finished. NOLA is a place that has been near and dear to the band’s heart since 1987…. So when we began diving into new material- “NOLA” was the obvious choice to start with. We went into the studio right before the lockdown started. Did the drum tracks at Matt Sorum’s Drac studio, and did the rest of the tracking at our place. We also had a special guest on “NOLA” as well! Tyson Leslie from Vixen played some spooky Organ and keys- the icing on the cake!

The B Side of the single is “Pirate Love” a cover of the Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers song. A tune FP played back in the club days! Inspired by the New Orleans theme - suggested by our friend Sam Harris, who knew we recorded a demo of it before. Harris also did the artwork for the whole package. Thunders passed away in New Orleans in 1991, and has had a major influence on the whole band. “Pirate Love” also features both Sam Bam and Ace Von Johnson trading guitar solos as well!

Both songs were mixed by Gilby Clarke of GNR fame and a very close friend and touring buddy). He really brought both tunes to life! And he’s all set to mix the next two, Ghost & For What It’s Worth!

After a long and difficult year, we share in everyone’s hopes for a return to normalcy. The progress made over recent months in response to covid has been very encouraging. We believe there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and are currently looking forward to live performances this summer with our friends Enuff Z’Nuff. We have missed the road, missed our fans, friends & families and are eager to get back out there! Stay safe, we can’t wait to see you all real fuckin’ soon! Keep checking back for more info- FP
